How do I write Lightroom CC keywords into the actual photo files?

I'm new to Lightroom CC and can see keywords inside Lightroom, but Windows Explorer shows the files' Tags field as blank. I found that I can sometimes update metadata manually per photo, but doing that one image at a time isn't practical. How can I make Lightroom save keywords to the actual files, especially when exporting a batch of photos?

Lightroom can include keywords in the exported file’s metadata, but only if your export settings allow it.
In Lightroom, go to File > Export and look for the Metadata section. Set it to Include All Metadata. Then export the images. That will write the keywords and other metadata into the exported files.
If you use an export preset, it may currently exclude metadata. In that case, open File > Export, select the preset, change the Metadata option to Include All Metadata, then update the preset with the current settings.
If Windows Explorer still doesn’t show tags for some files, that can also depend on file type and how Windows reads metadata, but the Lightroom side of the fix is to export with metadata included.
