In Adobe Camera Raw (Photoshop CC 2015), I’m using the Adjustment Brush and want to clearly see which areas I’ve painted so I can check for missed spots or accidental edits. I remember there being a shortcut or option that shows a colored mask overlay on the image. How do I toggle that view, and can I change the overlay color?

According to the Adobe help on camera raw:
To toggle visibility of the mask overlay, use the Show Mask option, press Y, or position the pointer over the pin icon.
To customize the color of the mask overlay, click the color swatch next to the Show Mask option. Then, choose a new color from the Color Picker.

In Adobe Camera Raw, use the Adjustment Brush’s mask overlay view.
You can show or hide it by:
- checking Show Mask
- pressing Y
- hovering the pointer over the adjustment pin
If you want a different overlay color, click the color swatch next to Show Mask and choose a new color.
Note: the layer-mask shortcuts like Alt/Shift/Ctrl-click apply to Photoshop layer masks, not the Camera Raw Adjustment Brush mask.
