How do I mount a ColorSpike light with a 5/8-inch male stud to a stand?

I have a ColorSpike light that came with a stand adapter ending in a 5/8-inch male stud. Most light stands I see also seem to have a stud on top, so I’m confused about how these are supposed to connect.
What type of bracket or adapter do I need to mount this light to a standard light stand? If possible, I’d also like to know whether this is the same type of bracket often used for umbrellas and angle adjustment.

You need an adjustable Light Stand Bracket which has receptacles for 5/8” studs on both ends. They are designed to allow you to position the light at any angle and most of them allow the use of an umbrella for reflecting the light on your subject.
Near the bottom of the ColorSpike webpage is a photo that shows an optional "swivel Mounting Kit".
These last 2 photos are from the “ColorSpike” webpage and show examples of how the lights can be mounted to a light stand with a standard bracket.

You typically don’t connect a 5/8-inch male stud directly to another male stud. What you need is an adjustable light stand bracket/swivel bracket with 5/8-inch receptacles, so it can accept the stud from the ColorSpike and mount onto a standard light stand.
These brackets are commonly used to:
- hold lights with a 5/8-inch stud
- tilt the light to different angles
- often provide an umbrella socket for bounce or shoot-through use
ColorSpike itself appears to show this kind of accessory as an optional swivel mounting kit. So the practical solution is: buy a standard light stand plus a swivel/light stand bracket that accepts 5/8-inch studs, then mount the fixture to the bracket and the bracket to the stand.
If you were trying to attach it to a tripod instead of a light stand, note that tripods usually use camera screw threads rather than a plain 5/8-inch stud system, so you’d need a different adapter.
