How do I export only the RAW file from a RAW+JPEG group in Darktable 2.6?

In Darktable 2.6, when I import photos shot as RAW+JPEG and group them in lighttable, selecting one grouped image shows as 2 selected images. Exporting then appears to export both files. I only want to export the edited RAW version, not the JPEG companion. Is there a setting or workflow in Darktable 2.6 that lets me work with or export only the RAW file from each RAW+JPEG pair?

This seems to be intended behavior in Darktable 2.6
Actually treating the group as a selection of two photos makes sense in most cases (Rating, Deletion, Move etc). However the good developers of DT knew that every change breaks someone's workflow so they added a new collection option named group leaders that allows the user to access the old behavior.

Yes. In Darktable 2.6, this is intended behavior: a grouped RAW+JPEG pair is treated as a selection of two images, which makes sense for actions like rating, moving, or deleting.
If you want the older behavior so you can work with just the main image in the group, use the collection option called group leaders. That lets you access only the group leader instead of treating the whole group as the active selection.
So for exporting only the edited RAW result, switch your collection/view to group leaders before exporting. Then Darktable will behave more like you expect and avoid exporting the JPEG companion as part of the grouped selection.
