I'm moving from Picasa to Lightroom. Many of my photos appear to have location data from Picasa, but Lightroom does not show the GPS information after import. It looks like the data may exist in the files, but Lightroom isn't reading it correctly. Is there a way to export or convert Picasa's geotag metadata so Lightroom can recognize it?

The easiest solution would be to use a Lightroom plugin designed to synchronize images with Picasa. This would solve the problem of remapping incompatible metadata fields. There is an earlier thread on getting metadata from Picasa to Lightroom that has some good information on the general issue and it mentions a free non-commercial plug-in that I think will do what you need: P2Lr. The most recent update is from 2017, so you'll want to make sure its compatible with your version of LR.
