I have a Nokia C6 and want to create wide-angle panoramic photos without using any special lens. What’s the best way to do this on the phone, and are there any tips for getting better results?

You could search your OVI app store for Nokia Panorama, or alternatively you could search the app store for other camera application which has the panorama function

You don’t need a special lens. A panorama is usually made by taking several overlapping photos and stitching them together afterward.

With a Nokia C6, you can either:

  • look for a panorama camera app in the Ovi/app store, or
  • shoot a series of images manually and combine them with stitching software later.

For better results:

  • take photos in sequence across the scene
  • include overlap between each shot
  • try to keep exposure consistent from frame to frame
  • move the camera smoothly and keep it level

After shooting, use a stitching app on the phone or software on a computer, such as Microsoft ICE, to merge the images into one wide panorama.
