How can I remove a purple lens flare spot from a photo in Lightroom?

One of my photos has a purple spot on the subject, likely from reflected light or lens flare. Can this be corrected in Lightroom, and which tool works best for removing or reducing it?

Yes, it is very easy to fix with most photo editor software.
Here I used Photoshop Elements and the Spot Healing Brush tool to blend out the purple spot.

Yes. If the purple spot is on a fairly even-toned area, the easiest fix is usually a healing tool. In Lightroom, zoom in and use the Spot Healing/Heal tool to blend the area with surrounding pixels. This works best on smooth backgrounds or simple surfaces.
If the spot doesn’t heal cleanly, you can also make a local circular adjustment over it and reduce its visibility with small adjustments to Dehaze and Tint. Feather the selection so the correction blends naturally. This may not remove it completely, but it can make it much less noticeable.
In general: use healing first for clean removal, and use local color/tone adjustments if some purple remains.
