How can I preview a photo wall collage before hanging printed photos?

I have about 10 printed 8x10s and around 100 printed 4x6s, with a mix of portrait and landscape orientations. Before I start putting holes in the wall, I’d like to mock up different arrangements and see how a photo wall collage will look.
Is there a tool or website for this, or a simple way to do it with photo-editing software?

Any image editing program (e.g. Photoshop) would work. Take a picture of your wall, import it, and superimpose miniature versions of the photos you're going to hang. Make the process quicker by creating guidelines to help you keep the photos properly positioned as you switch them around.

Yes. A simple approach is to use any image-editing program, such as Photoshop.
Take a straight-on photo of the wall where you plan to hang the prints, then import that wall photo into the software. Create small versions of your photos and place them on top of the wall image to simulate the arrangement. You can move them around until you find a layout you like.
To make it easier, add guides or a grid so spacing and alignment stay consistent while you experiment. This gives you a practical preview before committing to nails or hooks.
