I’m shooting an Olympus Mju II point-and-shoot with ISO 200 film, and on bright sunny days my photos often look washed out. What can I do to improve the results, and is there a better film speed to use in these conditions?

Use higher iso film, for example 50 or 100 iso.
Use higher camera f-stop, eg f8.
Use UV or Polarising filter.

On bright sunny days, try using slower film rather than ISO 200—ISO 100 or ISO 50 is better suited to strong daylight. That gives the camera more latitude in bright conditions and can help reduce washed-out results. A UV filter may also help, and some photographers use a polarising filter in bright sun as well. Since the Mju II is an automatic compact, you have limited direct control, so choosing film that matches the light is the main fix.
