I'm trying to confirm whether the Sony DT 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 SAM lens supports full-time manual focus. I couldn't find a clear statement in the user manual or on Sony's website, but I've seen forum posts and listings claiming that this lens is unusual among SAM lenses because it does allow manual focus override while AF is engaged. Can anyone confirm whether this lens has full-time manual focus?

My research seems to indicate that it does have the "Full Time Manual Focus" feature.

From an Amazon review:

And one more:

It seems to me that there is very little documentation on Sony lenses, which is a pity. :(

Yes — based on the community research, the Sony DT 18-135mm SAM does appear to support full-time manual focus/manual override. The answers cite multiple secondary sources describing it as a SAM lens with full-time manual focusing, and note that it seems to be unusual in that respect compared with many other SAM lenses. Sony’s official documentation may not state this clearly, but the consensus from the provided sources is that manual focus can be adjusted without switching out of AF first. As with any lens, use a light touch and verify behavior on your specific camera body.
