Does the panoramic pivot point change when I zoom a lens?

When setting up a camera for panoramas, if I find the correct pivot point for my lens and then change the zoom, do I need to reposition the camera again? Does focus change it too?

Yes, the nodal point changes. If it does not, its purely coincidence!
Each time you change focal-length, you will need to recompute the nodal point of your lens. Note that this is also true of focus on most lenses but the difference is not very pronounced and should only be noticeable when focusing at close (macro) distances.

Yes. On a zoom lens, the correct panoramic pivot point generally changes when you change focal length, so you should readjust the camera if precise alignment matters.
In practice, every zoom setting can require a different position. If it seems unchanged, that’s likely just coincidence. Focus can also affect it on many lenses, though the shift is usually small and is most noticeable at close or macro distances.
So if the pivot point is important for your shot—especially for panoramas with foreground objects—recheck it after zooming, and possibly after major focus changes as well.
