Do I need Lightroom lens profile corrections if my Canon 6D already has lens correction data?

My Canon 6D has lens correction/profile information for my lenses. When editing photos in Lightroom, do I still need to enable lens profile corrections, or does the camera’s correction data already apply? Does it make a difference whether I shoot RAW or JPEG?

Are you working with RAW or JPEG? RAW will not use the in-camera correction but JPEG will.

It depends on the file type. If you shoot RAW, the camera’s in-camera lens corrections are generally not applied to the image data, so you should enable lens profile corrections in Lightroom if you want those corrections. If you shoot JPEG, the camera’s corrections are typically applied in-camera, so Lightroom usually won’t need to do the same correction again. In short: RAW = enable Lightroom lens profile corrections; JPEG = camera corrections are usually already baked in.
