Cloud storage options for full-resolution photo and video backup over 1TB

I’m currently storing my photos in Google’s cloud services, and I’m concerned that my 26MP images may be getting resized or recompressed. I want storage that keeps photos and videos at their original quality, with larger capacity (ideally over 1TB). What services or setups should I look at for full-resolution backup and storage?

I personally use Amazon Prime. This package come with Amazon Photos which give unlimited storage for images. And by images Amazon understand not only JPEG, PNG, TIFF but also PSD, CR2, ARW and a lot of other RAW formats. And in to the same package you have 5GB of storage for other files (I use it to store XMP files :) )
Plus I store second copy of my photos on local NAS storage with RAID5 config.

Generated from our catalog & community — verify before relying on it.
If you’re using Google Photos, first check the upload setting: switch it to Original quality. That prevents resizing/recompression, and you can then buy more storage if needed.
If you want alternatives, the answers mention:
- Amazon Photos via Amazon Prime: commonly used for full-resolution image storage, including many RAW formats, with limited space for non-image files.
- Backblaze B2: basically rented cloud storage you can use as you like.
- Local NAS storage: useful as a second copy alongside cloud storage.
Best practice is to keep more than one copy of your photos. Cloud storage is convenient, but pairing it with a local backup (such as a NAS or external drives) is safer.
So the simplest path is: verify Google is set to Original quality; if that doesn’t suit you, consider a dedicated cloud storage/backup service like Amazon Photos or Backblaze, plus a local backup.
