Can you manually change the Fujifilm X-Pro1 OVF magnification?

On the Fujifilm X-Pro1, the optical viewfinder normally changes magnification automatically to suit the mounted lens, while the bright-frame lines show the actual framing. With a 35mm lens attached, I noticed the OVF suddenly showed a wider view than usual and the bright-frame rectangle looked smaller, even though the camera still seemed to know the correct focal length. After removing and remounting the lens, it went back to normal. Is there a manual way to switch the OVF magnification, or was this just a glitch?

It seems you pushed the lever that switches from the OVF to the EVF for more than 2 seconds. Doing so will bring the magnification glass on top of the OVF. Try pushing it again for more than 2 seconds to put it back in the other position. That magnification glass is useful for the other lenses...

Yes. On the X-Pro1, you can manually switch the OVF magnification. If you push and hold the OVF/EVF selector lever for more than about 2 seconds, the camera toggles the magnification lens in the optical finder. Push and hold it again to switch back.

So what you saw was likely not a glitch: the camera still knew the lens and drew the correct bright-frame lines, but the OVF magnification had been changed manually. This can be useful if you want a wider surrounding view in the finder with certain lenses.
