I want to save battery on my Sony A6300. Is there a setting that turns off the LCD screen after a period of inactivity, such as a few minutes? If so, where is it in the menu and what timeout options are available?

Yes, it is possible. Go to Menu -> Setup -> Pwr Save Start Time. You can choose there between 30 Min, 5 Min, 2 Min, 1 Min or 10 Sec.

Yes. On the Sony A6300 you can set an automatic power-save timer, which will turn the camera/LCD off after inactivity.
Go to: Menu → Setup → Pwr Save Start Time
Available options are:
- 10 Sec
- 1 Min
- 2 Min
- 5 Min
- 30 Min
There isn’t a specific 3-minute option, but you can choose the closest setting that suits your needs. This is the built-in way to reduce power use when the LCD would otherwise stay on.
