Can the Nikon D80 use mirror lock-up for long exposures?

I’m trying to use mirror lock-up on a Nikon D80 for long-exposure shots. I can see a mirror-related option in the menu, but I can’t seem to enable a normal mirror lock-up mode for shooting. Does the D80 support mirror lock-up for exposures, or is that menu option only for sensor cleaning? If not, what’s the closest alternative for reducing vibration during long exposures?

The D80 has an Exposure Delay mode, which basically adds a 0.4 seconds delay after opening the mirror, then automatically starts the exposure. So it's not a manual step, but just an automatic mirror lockup. From a quick Google I think it's custom menu open 31.

The Nikon D80 does not offer a separate manual mirror lock-up mode for taking photos. The mirror lock-up option you’re seeing is for sensor cleaning, not normal shooting.

For reducing vibration, the D80 does have Exposure Delay mode, which raises the mirror and then waits about 0.4 seconds before starting the exposure automatically. That is the closest equivalent for shooting.

For exposures longer than 30 seconds, use Manual mode and select Bulb with the rear command dial. For best long-exposure results, use a tripod and avoid touching the camera during the exposure.
