Can the Nikon D3300 use an electronic shutter for intervalometer timelapse?

I want to shoot a timelapse on a Nikon D3300 using the intervalometer, but that means taking many still photos with the mechanical shutter. Is there any way to make the D3300 use an electronic shutter instead? Also, if I shoot very large timelapses—such as 1,000+ frames in a day—does that significantly reduce shutter life?

I am afraid Nikon D3300 do not have electronic shutter. You can check documentations and specifications here
And as you can see the life of shutter of D3300 is 100k (average). But do not expect when you reach the limit shutter will stop working at all.
Also you want to make timelapse so you should pay the "price" :)

No. The Nikon D3300 does not offer an electronic shutter mode for intervalometer stills, so timelapse photos will use the mechanical shutter.
Yes, shooting large timelapses adds shutter actuations, so it does contribute to shutter wear. The D3300’s shutter life is commonly cited around 100,000 actuations as an average rating, but that is not a hard cutoff—some shutters fail earlier and many last longer.
So if you shoot timelapse with still photos on a D3300, using the mechanical shutter is simply part of the tradeoff. If you want to avoid extra shutter actuations, your alternative is to record video and create a timelapse from that, but that is a different workflow and not the same as intervalometer stills.
