Can Lightroom publish new photos to an existing Flickr album?

I use Lightroom 5 with the Flickr Publish Service and organize my photos by location. For new locations, I create a photoset in Lightroom and publish it, which creates a new Flickr album.
I already have many older Flickr albums created outside Lightroom. If I take new photos for a location that already has an album on Flickr, can Lightroom recognize that existing album and let me publish new photos into it? For example, if I already have a Flickr album called "Manchester," can I make Lightroom publish new images to that album instead of creating a duplicate one?

If you create a new photoset in Lightroom, it will be named Photoset by default. Publishing like this, it will create a new album on Flickr.
Creating a new photoset and renaming it to the same name an existing album has on Flickr, LR will realize the album is already there on Flickr and publish to that album. It will not realize that there are already pictures in the album. You can still use it to publish/upload new pictures though.
Note that you need to rename exactly as it is on Flickr, including spaces and other characters.
I've done this just now with the most current LR 5.4 and a free Flickr account.

Yes. In Lightroom’s Flickr Publish Service, create a new photoset and rename it to exactly match the existing Flickr album name. When you publish, Lightroom should recognize the matching album on Flickr and upload the new photos into it instead of creating a separate one.
The name needs to match exactly, including spaces and special characters.
One limitation: Lightroom won’t automatically detect or import the photos already in that Flickr album into the Lightroom photoset. It can still be used to publish new images to that existing album, but it won’t backfill the older ones already on Flickr.
