I want to publish a Lightroom web gallery to my server over SSH. Lightroom shows FTP publishing, but I couldn't find a way to use SCP, and an older SSH/SCP plugin I found doesn't seem to work for web galleries. Is there a supported way to publish a web gallery securely over SSH, such as SFTP?

Lightroom supports publishing to sftp. If your server supports ssh then sftp should be a option you can enable. It turns out I needed to edit the sshd_config to support it and it worked.

Yes—use SFTP rather than SCP. Lightroom supports publishing via SFTP, which runs over SSH. If your server already has SSH access, SFTP may just need to be enabled in the SSH server configuration. In the reported case, enabling/configuring SFTP in sshd_config solved the problem and Lightroom could publish successfully. If SCP-specific plugins don’t work with web galleries, the practical supported option is SFTP.
