Can Fujifilm X-T4 HDR-mode RAF files be split into the individual exposures?

When the Fujifilm X-T4 shoots in HDR mode, it appears to capture multiple exposures and save them in a single RAF file alongside the HDR JPEG. In a normal raw converter, only one image is visible. Is there a way to extract the separate exposures from that HDR RAF file for use in other HDR software? Linux-compatible methods are especially helpful, but solutions for any OS may benefit other readers.

There is a website that will separate the three raw images from the single combined file.
https://www.solentsystems.com/
Select the HDR extract option at the top of the home page; you will get results like this.
If you want to know more about it or contact the person who wrote the script/made the website, that information is on the original fuji-x forum

Generated from our catalog & community — verify before relying on it.
Possibly, but support is limited and inconsistent.
One community answer says Fujifilm HDR-mode RAF files can be treated as a container holding the three source exposures, and points to Solent Systems’ HDR extract tool as a way to separate them. If that service or script is still available, it may be the simplest route.
Another answer says you can’t extract them because only the HDR JPEG and a single normal RAW exposure are saved, with the RAF corresponding to the base/middle exposure.
So the practical takeaway is:
- Standard RAW processors usually show only one image.
- Extraction is not a normal supported feature in common editors.
- A specialized extractor may work on some Fujifilm HDR RAF files, but this is not guaranteed.
If you want full control in external HDR software, the most reliable approach is usually to bracket exposures normally rather than rely on in-camera HDR mode.
