Can any camera stamp a pet’s age on photos instead of the capture date?

I’m making a photo album for my puppy and would like each photo to show the puppy’s age (for example, “3 months old” or “1 year, 5 days”) rather than just the date the photo was taken. Is there a camera feature that lets you enter a pet’s birth date and then automatically calculates and displays the age on each photo? If so, how does it work, and can the age be stamped onto the image itself for use in an album?

Most Panasonic Lumix compact cameras have an option to set the scene mode to "Baby" or "Pet". This lets you set the name and date of birth of the baby or pet. Then the camera will display the name and age when taking a photo, or when viewing photos in playback mode. The age is displayed in years, months, and days.

Then set the camera to playback mode, and use the "text stamp" feature. This will let you stamp the photo with the name or age, so it is part of the image, and will be shown on the photo after downloading it to a computer.

If you don't text stamp the photos before downloading it, I'm not sure how the name or age is recorded. It seems it is possible to use the PhotoFunStudio software (bundled with the camera) to add text stamps for name or age.

Yes—some Panasonic Lumix compact cameras have a built-in scene mode such as "Baby" or "Pet" that lets you enter a name and birth date. The camera can then calculate and display the subject’s age in years, months, and days when shooting or reviewing photos.

To make that age appear on the actual image, use the camera’s "text stamp" feature in playback mode. That stamps the name or age onto the photo so it remains visible after you copy the image to a computer or print it for an album.

If you don’t stamp the photo in-camera before transferring it, the age may still be available through Panasonic’s bundled software (PhotoFunStudio), which can add the text stamp later.

Based on the answers provided, this is a camera-specific feature rather than something generally available on all cameras or smartphones.
