I’m considering buying Adobe Lightroom with a student/education licence. If I later stop being a student, can I still purchase a normal upgrade to a newer version, or would I need to buy a full licence again?

Yes, I bought Lightroom as a student and I have been upgrading since version 1.0 without a problem.

Yes. Based on the community experience shared, a Lightroom student/education licence can be upgraded later even after you’re no longer a student. In other words, you would typically buy the upgrade version rather than needing to purchase a full new licence again. As with any software licensing, exact terms can vary by version and Adobe’s current policy, so it’s still wise to confirm the upgrade eligibility for the specific Lightroom version you’re buying.
