Best budget all-purpose zoom for a Canon EOS 1100D: Canon 18-200mm, Tamron 18-200mm, or Canon 18-135mm?

I use a Canon EOS 1100D and want one general-purpose lens for group photos, portraits, and candid shots. I was considering the Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, but it is expensive for my budget. I also found the Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II as a lower-cost option.
Are these two 18-200mm lenses similar enough that the Tamron is the better value, or is there a better all-around lens for my camera? My main priorities are budget, versatility, and decent autofocus.

What about Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5 6.3 Di II VC PZD , it has more range and it is only marginally expensive ( in where you live ) than Canon EF-S18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens (Super Zoom Lens). Apparently it gives same performance in 18-200 range and have 200-270 range in addition to that.

For your uses, a superzoom can work, but the Canon EF-S 18-135mm is a very sensible budget-friendly option to consider first. Based on the community replies, it gives you most of the useful zoom range of an 18-200mm while costing less, and it should handle group shots, portraits, and candid photography well on an EOS 1100D.
If you specifically want the biggest zoom range in one lens, another option mentioned was the Tamron 18-270mm, which adds more reach and was suggested as only slightly more expensive than the Canon 18-200mm in some markets.
Between the two 18-200mm lenses in your question, the answers here do not provide enough direct comparison to say they are effectively the same or to confirm autofocus differences. So, from the information given, the safest recommendation is the Canon 18-135mm as the best balance of price and versatility.
In short: for value, look at the Canon 18-135mm first; if maximum range matters more, consider a Tamron superzoom like the 18-270mm.
