I’m looking for desktop or browser-based tools similar to PhotoPills that can calculate golden hour, blue hour, twilight, and sun position for a location. Are there any good PC or web apps for planning shoots?

The Photographer's Ephemeris (http://photoephemeris.com/). The desktop version is a web app, and they also have iOS and Android versions. I plan every 'proper' shoot I do with it.

Yes. Common alternatives mentioned are:
- The Photographer’s Ephemeris — a popular planning tool for photographers, available as a desktop/web app and also on mobile.
- SunCalc — a simple browser-based option that many people like for sun and twilight timing.
- Twilight/blue hour calculators — useful if you mainly want tables for golden hour, blue hour, and twilight times.
- Sun position calculators — these can be helpful if you also want solar angle/elevation details, not just sunrise/sunset-related times.
If your main goal is planning shoot timing, The Photographer’s Ephemeris is one of the closest matches to PhotoPills on desktop/web. If you want something quick and lightweight in a browser, SunCalc is a solid choice.
