I’m building an ultra-large-format camera for photo paper up to about 3m wide, starting with sheets around 2.4m × 1.2m. I’d like something faster than a pinhole and would prefer to focus at infinity with the lens roughly 2-4m from the paper, if possible.

Are there any existing lenses that could produce an image circle large enough for this format? I’m aiming for roughly 40° to 74° horizontal angle of view, with the wider end preferred.

I think you can buy a refracting astronomical objective lens. Size the focal length based on the diagonal measure of the largest print you will be making. As an example, to project a 2.4 X 1.2 meter print, search for a 3000mm achromatic refracting telescope objective.
