It comes with a 24.2 MP Full-Frame Exmor RS-stacked CMOS sensor, which teams up with the BIONZ X image processor for rendering photos and 4K videos at a high speed and with impressive quality. Use the 693-point Phase-Detection autofocus for firmly focusing on your subjects in a variety of lighting conditions, with incredible speed, precision, and sensitivity down to -3 EV. The 5-Axis SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization compensates for up to 5 types of camera shake in order to render blur-free pictures. Making it possible to transfer imagery to various modern gadgets are the WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity options.

Optics and Focus

The Sony Alpha a9 Mirrorless Digital Camera Body is compatible with many Sony E-mount lenses that offer brilliant focal lengths and apertures. The 3-inch tiltable rear LCD touchscreen comes with a resolution of 1,440,000 dots for viewing captured content and browsing menus with immense clarity. The 0.5-inch electronic viewfinder comes with a 23 mm eyepoint and a 3,686,400-dot resolution for viewing scenes more clearly, even under bright lighting conditions. The touchscreen and viewfinder offer a 100% coverage rating each.

Image and Video

Along with shooting RAW and JPEG photos at a resolution of 6000×4000 pixels, the Alpha a9 lets you record 4K UHD videos at 30 fps in the XAVC S format. Shoot up to 362 JPEG frames and 241 RAW frames in a continuous manner at a 20 fps burst rate. The BIONZ X image processor renders imagery with incredible quality and at a high speed. The S-Log3 Gamma and other custom color profiles ensure a 1300% wider dynamic range so that your imagery gets smoother tonal and color gradations, as well as enhanced clarity and sensitivity in mid-tones and shadows.

Other Features

This Sony camera’s WiFi and NFC connectivity options allow you to not only transfer captured images and videos to other gadgets, but also control the camera remotely.
