Overview

The X-Rite ColorChecker Classic XL, like the "Classic Target", is a checkerboard-styled target, that features an array of 24x colors, to help ensure an accurate balance of colors, within your images. This extra-large version, is 12.75" x 20", & is a better fit, for capturing images, that need to be taken at greater distances (Ex: Landscape Photography). The featured colors, are composed of a wide range, that are designed to represent natural objects, that you may be capturing with your camera (Ex: Blue Sky, Foliage, Human Skin, etc.). The squares are the same color as their counterparts, & are designed to reflect light, in the same way, throughout the provided spectrum. Since the provided colors are able to reflect light evenly, the squares of color, will match the color of your natural-subjects, with any color-reproduction process, no matter the level of illumination. The X-Rite ColorChecker Classic XL is designed to help you achieve a  "true-to-life" color reproduction, while minimizing the, usually tedious, "trial-&-error" color adjusments. This tool is made to simplify camera-lighting balance.
