Overview

The Westcott 50 x 50-Inch Mega JS Apollo is an easy-to-assemble softbox that has an umbrella frame. You don’t need a speed ring to attach this softbox to a studio flash head; just open it and slide the shaft into the umbrella receptor located on the flash head. This softbox provides an impressive light spread of up to 104°, which makes it the largest in the Apollo series of softboxes. The large, recessed edge of this softbox offers immense light control, which facilitates feathering of light so that you can see exactly where the light starts and stops. The fabric of this softbox is pure in color; hence the color temperature that goes into the fabric is the same as that which comes back out.
