The Nikon D7100 DSLR camera is the right choice for beginner photographers. It can be used with Nikon F bayonet-mount lenses. The camera has a 24.1 MP CMOS sensor and an EXPEED 3 image processor integrated into its design. It comes with a 51-point autofocus system with four focusing modes. The camera includes various scene and picture modes for giving a unique look to the captured image. This camera uses four metering modes, viz. 3D color matrix, center-weighted average, and spot metering. Also, there are four auto-exposure modes that decide the correct setting for the shutter or aperture or both to suit the current lighting condition. You may increase the electronic shutter speed up to 1/8000th of a second. The camera comes with a 3.2-inch LCD and pentaprism optical viewfinder for previewing scenes. You may share photos and videos with your friends by using the built-in WiFi and an optional WU-1a wireless mobile adapter.

Optics and Focus

The Nikon D7100 uses a 51-point AF system that can be used for choosing the area of focus in the scene. It has 15 cross-type sensors to detect horizontal as well as vertical changes in contrast, and three autofocus modes: continuous-servo AF, single-servo AF, and focus lock area AF. Additionally, the processor improves the response time and autofocus speed of the camera, besides supporting continuous shooting mode for up to 100 images at a rate of 6 fps.
