A full aperture metering is also incorporated in the camera, which automatically counteracts with the maximum aperture of your lens. The camera has the highest ISO of 6400 while the shutter can speed up to 1/1000th of a second. This camera has a working range of EV 3 to EV17 with an ASA film speed of 100. Minolta SRT 101 has a direct helicoid focusing method that uses an infrared index to click images of objects from a minimum distance up to 60 cm.
Sensor and Screen
The camera has a double-hinged reflex mirror pentaprism viewfinder that provides a bright view of the image. Along with this, the viewfinder also shows current exposure setting, shutter speed, and battery status. The large size of the return mirror avoids image cutoff and ensures accurate exposure readings even when using large focal length lenses.

With the rapid rewind crank, the camera allows you to prepare the film for the next shot quickly. The camera comes with a double exposure blocking function and shutter locks.
Other Features
