Condition: Good
The Mamiya RB67 Pro S is a medium format SLR camera that comes with a waist-level viewfinder, a telephoto lens, and a 120 film back. This camera can be used with other Mamiya Sekor lenses as well. The camera uses extending bellows, which reach up to 46mm, to photograph small objects in full size. Thanks to the mirror-up function, you can use slow shutter speeds or a telephoto lens with the camera to capture sharp images. The waist-level viewfinder offers a 2.5× magnification. With the Pro S exclusive revolving adapter, you can choose whether to use the camera vertically or horizontally. The camera has a synchroflash terminal for connecting an external flash cord. You require six AA-size 1.5V alkaline or manganese batteries if the optional 120 or 220 roll film power drive is used.
Optics and Focus
The camera has the Mamiya Sekor 90mm f/3.8 C lens provided with it. This lens has an optical design of 7 elements in 5 groups. Other Mamiya Sekor lenses can also be used with this camera. The lens offers a 52° field of view and a minimum focus distance of 17.6 inches. This camera comes with the Seiko No.1 shutter that provides a maximum speed limit of 1/400th of a second. Use the Time mode to take images with long exposures. The camera employs bellows extension system with rack pinions for the focusing work.
Sensor and Screen
The Mamiya RB67 Pro S sports a waist-level viewfinder that offers 2.5× magnification of the image. You have to flip open the top to reveal the viewfinder. The magnifier can be adjusted by using the dedicated setting lever.
Image and Video
The camera uses the rational 6×7 format, which is 4.5× larger than the 35mm film, to offer higher picture quality than its small-size counterpart. Moreover, you can enlarge the captured images without cropping them. The magazine layout of the camera has a reserved space for writing headlines or explanatory notes. To prevent double exposure, an interlocking device is made a part of the camera. You can layer different images on a single frame by switching the dedicated lever. The camera's revolving adapter can be used for changing the picture format from horizontal to vertical and vice-versa.
Other Features
The camera has a synchroflash terminal for allowing you to connect an external flash device. You can switch between the synchronization modes by shifting the provided switch. The X-sync and M-sync offer a maximum synchronization to electronic flash devices and M-class flashbulbs at 1/400th of a second. Thanks to the centrifuged friction governor system, the mirror ensures a shake-free operation. The Pro-S roll film holder keeps the film flat so that you can use the camera from different angles without worrying about the film getting moved from its position. This camera can be used at extreme temperatures from 50°C to -2°C. This camera includes other notable features like a single-action collapsible hood, focusing knob fixing device, and a dark slid lock.
