Overview

Condition: Good

The Canon Rebel T4i is an entry-level DSLR camera for both beginners and intermediate-level users. It can be used with Canon EF and EF-S lenses. The camera embodies the 18 MP CMOS sensor and the Digic 5 image processor to produce high-definition imagery even in low light. This Canon DSLR records Full HD 1080p videos at 30 fps and takes continuous shots at 5 fps. Compose scenes or replay recorded videos and photos on the 3.0-inch vari-angle touchscreen LCD. The built-in flash and hot shoe facilitate well-illuminated captures at night or in dim light. This camera runs on an LP-E8 Li-ion battery pack.

Optics and Focus

The Canon T4i accepts both Canon EF and EF-S mount lenses. For exposure metering, you can choose the average, center-weighted average, or spot methods. The 9-point cross type autofocus system gives accuracy in focus selection in both portrait and landscape orientation. Also, the dual-cross f/2.8 center point ensures precise results when using spot or center-weighted average metering. Different focusing modes such as One-Shot AF and Predictive AI Servo AF are specially intended for variable situations. With the mechanical shutter, the camera takes pictures of fast-moving objects without causing distortions. The electronic shutter is ideal for situations where complete silence is required to the perfect shot. Both mechanical and electronic shutters have a maximum speed of 1/4000 of a second.

Sensor and Screen

The Canon T4i is fitted with an 18 MP APS-C CMOS sensor that offers improved light gathering to provide smooth tonal gradations and clarity. With a 3.0-inch vari-angle Clear View II LCD, you can easily use the camera from high or low angles. Additionally, the Clear View coating ensures clarity when working in bright light. An optical viewfinder is also incorporated into the camera design, which offers 0.87× magnification and 95% coverage of the image. The viewfinder diopter can be adjusted from -3 and +1 m. With the LCD, you get 100% screen coverage.

Image and Video

The Canon T4i DSLR captures images at a maximum resolution of 5184×3456 pixels in JPEG and RAW formats. Also, you can record Full HD 1080p videos at 30 fps. The continuous shooting mode enables burst shots at 5 fps. Thanks to the Digic 5 image processor, the camera provides enhanced low-light performance and fast processing during burst shooting. The scene intelligent auto mode and EOS scene detection system take care of the camera settings while you enjoy your photography experience.

Other Features

The flash built into this Canon DSLR camera has a guide number of 13 feet at ISO 100. You may adjust the compensation range of ±2 EV in 1/3 or 1/2 EV steps. A Speedlight flash can be mounted on the hot shoe. Both integrated and mounted strobes can be synchronized with the shutter at 1/200th of a second. Delay the shutter release by 2 or 10 seconds by using the self-timer. Connect a microphone to the 1/8-inch port to record audio in high quality. Transfer recorded media to your system via the USB 2.0 connection. You can use the optional Eye-Fi SD cards with the camera for wirelessly transferring photos to smartphones. An LP-E8 rechargeable Li-ion battery is provided with the Canon T4i.
