Tascam DA-6400 DP Series 64-Channel Digital Multitrack Recorder

OVERVIEW

TASCAM's DA-6400 DP is a 64-channel digital multitrack recorder/player with an internal SSD caddy for live and event recording. It is suitable for live recordings, event capture, or as a backup for essential DAW sessions, thanks to I/O options such as MADI and DANTE. Furthermore, the DA-6400 is an excellent choice for professional remote recording.

In addition, the recorder/player contains an AK-CC25 hot-swappable caddy with a 240GB TASCAM solid-state drive and a USB-3 port for stand-alone operation. This enables you to hand over the drive to the customer, who can then load the BWAV files into their DAW session. The DA-6400 can record 64 48 kHz/24-bit recordings or 32 96 kHz/24-bit tracks. SMPTE timecode, word clock, RS-422, parallel, Ethernet, and two power supply inlets are also incorporated on the rear panel.

The IF-MA64/EX interface card (available separately) provides coaxial and optical MADI interfaces for the DA-6400. This card includes a redundant coaxial connection that allows MADI to be transmitted even if power is interrupted, making it a perfect backup recorder for DAW sessions. Other cards (available separately) include the IF-MA64/BN coaxial MADI card, the IF-DA64 Dante card, and the IF-AE16 AES/EBU card, with more on the way.
