The inbuilt ND filter unit enables you to shoot with an extremely low depth of field without the need of stopping down the iris even under bright light conditions. In addition, the camera also features a built-in multi-Interface shoe.

Optics and Focus

The Sony PXW-FS7’s mounting system is compatible with a wide range of A-mount and E-mount series lenses, which offer an outstanding aperture rating and focal length. The inbuilt ND filter unit enables you to shoot with an extremely low depth of field without the need of stopping down the iris even under bright light conditions. The camera’s ISO sensitivity is 2000 and the shutter speed ranges from 1/3 to 1/9000 of a second. There are three different white balance modes in the camera: memory A, memory B, and preset.

This camera boasts a high-sensitivity, single-chip super 35 mm Exmor CMOS sensor, which allows you record high-quality videos. The 3.5-inch LCD monitor comes with a resolution of approximately 1.56M dots.

This camera can execute continuous super slow motion recordings with a mesmerizing full HD image quality at an impressive frame rate of up to 180 fps. The videos are also captured at a 2K resolution and 240 fps. Additional video formats supported in this camera are XAVC, MPEG-2, and long GOP.
