Designed with a gorgeous black sheen, the Sony ECM-GZ1M Zoom Microphone is attractive to look at and is also sturdily built with robust ABS materials. Meant to work with cameras having the ECMGZ1M multi-interface shoe, this zoom microphone effortlessly records stage performances, faraway conversations, and much more. Its versatility in recording faint dialogues uttered from long distances supersedes most other erstwhile zoom microphones. It comes in two modes, basically a zoom mode and a gun mode. While the zoom mode helps pick up far off sounds, the gun mode easily records abrupt, sharp sounds that are part of anything you're shooting. This Electoret condenser zoom microphone covers a wide frequency response from 150 Hz to 15,000 Hz. Measuring just 28 mm (W) x 57 mm (H) x 106 mm (D) and weighing just 1.6 oz also makes the device extremely light and portable. Ideally, the Sony ECM-GZ1M Zoom Microphone operates within a temperature range of 0° C to 40° C and should be stored between -20° C to 60° C.
