overview
The Sigma 70mm f/2.8 DG Macro Art Lens captures sharp close-up shots of subjects as close as 25.8 cm. It works with Canon EF-mount cameras. The lens construction includes 13 elements in 10 groups, including two FLD and two SLD elements and a single high refractive index element to reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing. Also, two aspherical elements are present to correct spherical distortions. The Super Multi-Layer Coating brings down lens flare and ghosting. With the coreless DC motor, the autofocus operation runs accurately and quietly. You may also override the focus settings in the auto mode. The large angle of rotation and focus-by-wire system contribute to the focusing work. With the 9-blade diaphragm, you obtain a purely circular bokeh in the blurred background. The Thermally Stable Composite material construction makes it possible to use the lens at extreme temperatures. You may attach the lens to the optional TC-1401 and TC-2001 teleconverters to extend the focal length. The Sigma USB Dock compatibility lets you make changes in the focus parameters and update the firmware.
