overview
The Sigma 70mm f/2.8 DG Macro Art Lens deserves a place in your camera kit. It can be used with Sigma SA-mount cameras. The lens design comprises 13 elements in 10 groups. It includes two FLD and SLD elements along with a single high refractive index element to combat chromatic aberrations. Two aspherical elements reduce the effects of spherical distortions to improve clarity. The Super Multi-Layer Coating minimizes lens flare and ghosting. With the coreless DC motor, the lens remains silent when autofocusing on an object from a minimum distance of 25.8 cm. The autofocus override option lets you fine-tune the focus in the auto mode. Also, the large angle of rotation and a focus-by-wire system make focusing work easier. The 9-blade diaphragm produces a circular bokeh effect to improve the shallow depth of field. The Thermally Stable Composite material construction enables the lens to work at extreme temperatures. Optional teleconverters such as the TC-1401 and TC-2001 can be attached to this lens. This telephoto lens is compatible with the Sigma USB Dock to adjust the focus parameters and update the firmware.
