Paramount Y-FHH (1) Household Male 5ft to (2) Household Female 10ft Y Sync C

The Paramount Y-FHH is a specialized Y sync cable built for studio and photographic lighting applications that use household-style sync connections. It features one household male connector on a 5-foot lead that splits into two household female connectors, each extending 10 feet, giving users a convenient way to branch a single source into two female household sync endpoints.

Compatible With

• Studio lighting and photo accessories using household male/female sync connections
• Devices and cords designed around household-style sync plug systems

Key Features

This cable is designed for photographers and studio technicians who need flexible cable routing in flash and lighting setups. The Y configuration simplifies multi-point connectivity while helping maintain an organized workflow. Its straight connector layout makes it easy to connect and route in studio environments, especially where standard household sync interfaces are already in use.

Practical Benefits

With a 5-foot main run and dual 10-foot branches, the Y-FHH provides useful reach for spreading connections across a lighting setup without immediately resorting to additional adapters. This can be especially helpful in legacy studio systems, educational labs, or rental environments where household sync standards remain common. The split design can reduce clutter compared to chaining multiple separate cables and adapters together.

Build and Handling

Paramount is known for practical cabling solutions for photographic and video applications. This sync cable is intended for dependable day-to-day use, with a straightforward physical design that prioritizes utility, routing flexibility, and compatibility with common household-style sync connections. Straight ends also help ensure uncomplicated attachment to compatible devices and extension paths.

Who It's For

The Paramount Y-FHH is well suited to photographers, studio managers, lighting technicians, and institutions maintaining classic flash systems or accessories that rely on household sync connectors. It is especially useful when one male household sync source needs to feed two female connection points in a clean, purpose-built configuration.

Usage Tips

Before connecting, confirm that all devices in your setup use the same household-style sync standard and that the cable routing will not place strain on the split junction. In studio environments, securing the cable with clips or ties can help reduce trip hazards and prevent accidental disconnection. For the best longevity, avoid tight bends near the connectors and store the cable loosely coiled when not in use.

Recommended Accessories

This cable pairs well with studio strobes using household sync inputs, compatible sync adapters, cable wraps, hook-and-loop ties, and mounting accessories that help keep lighting runs tidy. If your setup includes mixed sync standards, a properly matched sync adapter may also be useful, provided it is designed specifically for your equipment.

In Context

Household sync cabling has long been part of studio flash workflows, especially with legacy lighting systems and certain triggering accessories. Products like the Paramount Y-FHH remain relevant because they provide dependable specialty connectivity for users who need specific cable layouts that generic extension solutions may not address as neatly or safely.
