OMDS M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO Telephoto Lens - Black

This is a quick review of both unique photo and the new Olympus 40-150mm f2.8. First of all I purchased this lens from Unique on Cyber Monday and received a discount even though the lens was back ordered and in great demand. Hurrah!! I have not heard of this lens selling for less than list price so this is really great. Secondly I was expecting to wait a few weeks to perhaps a month to receive the lens. I was away on a business trip when I ordered it, but it shipped only a few days after Cyber Monday and was waiting for me when I got home. I really thought there was a mistake, but here it is sitting in front of me! This is the second major purchase I have made from Unique - so anyone in doubt of this company - it ranks up there with the other top online camera stores. So for the lens - I am planning on using it for my daughters violin recitals and other than the Panasonic 35-100 f2.8 (which I have) nothing else in a M4/3 zoom comes close. The extra reach to150mm (300mm equiv) will really be helpful for taking those intimate low light shots. The build quality of the lens is exceptional, and it is really nice to see all the required accessories included (cap, pouch, hood). Combined with my EM1 this will be my go to concert recital rig. I may pick up the teleconverter once I have fully assessed the low light quality and reach, but being into this system allows me the future flexibility which is awesome - will be like buying another lens if I get the teleconverter, So on all counts a great store and a great product!
