The LC-37C Auto Open Lens Cap from Olympus is specifically made for use with the M.Zuiko 14 to 42 mm f/3.5 to 5.6 EZ lens. It has an automatic close and open mechanism that shields the front element of the lens from abrasions resulting from contact with dust or accidental bumps. When you power the camera on, the lens cap automatically opens. This lets you keep the cap attached to the lens at all times, and prevents the hassle of removing and screwing it back on at every photo shoot. This also prevents you from misplacing it. The lens cap sports a silver color.
