overview
The Nikon 8×42 Monarch HG Binoculars deliver consistent performance regardless of the lighting and weather conditions. They include extra-low dispersion glass elements in the 42mm objective lens to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations. The anti-reflection coatings increase light transmission and contrast as well as render color accurately. Also, the phase-corrected prisms eliminate hindrance caused to the light path, while the dielectric prism coatings reduce light loss to ensure consistent brightness and clarity. The field-flattener lens system combats the lens-edge distortion. Also, the front glasses has scratch-resistant coatings to protect them from environmental elements. These binoculars provide 60° angle of view and 435-foot field of view at 1000 yards. You are allowed to adjust the interpupillary distance of 56–74mm and the right-eye dioptric value. The twist-up rubber eyecups let you observe the scene even while wearing glasses. With the 17.8mm eye relief, these binoculars don't put strain on your eyes. An arsenic- and lead-free Eco-Glass is used for the optical construction of the binoculars, and the chassis is made of magnesium alloy. The optical tubes are filled with nitrogen and sealed with O-rings to avoid fogging and maintain waterproofness down to 16.4 feet.
