Optics and Focus
The D5600 DSLR camera from Nikon includes an AF-S DX NIKKOR 18–140 mm f/3.5–5.6G ED VR lens, which has one aspherical element and one extra-low-dispersion element for minimizing chromatic aberrations. It even features a Vibration Reduction image-stabilization function that reduces camera shakes by up to four shutter speed steps, which is essential when using longer focal lengths and working in low light. The shutter speed ranges from 30 seconds to 1/4000th of a second, and the ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 to 25,600. The 39-point Multi-CAM 4800DX autofocus system, with 9 cross-type sensors, is useful for instantly acquiring focus in lighting conditions ranging between -1 and +19 EV. Furthermore, the metering methods, as well as the exposure and white-balance modes, are helpful in a vast array of photography situations.
Sensor and Screen
The Nikon D5600 is equipped with a 24.2 MP DX-Format sensor that lets you shoot photos and Full HD videos with brilliant detail, low-light sensitivity, dynamic range, and color accuracy. The 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen gives you a viewing angle of 170° and a resolution of up to 1.04 million dots to ensure outstanding clarity for playing back, conveniently navigating through settings menus, and shooting in the live-view mode. Use the eye-level pentamirror optical viewfinder for viewing your subjects clearly, even under the harsh sunlight, where it becomes tough to use the LCD screen.
Image and Video
This camera captures RAW and JPEG images at its maximum resolution of 6000x4000 pixels, and Full HD 1080p videos in the MOV format at 60 fps. You can capture images in a continuous manner at a burst rate of up to 5 fps. The EXPEED 4 processor renders images and Full HD videos with an amazing combination of speed and quality. The time-lapse movie-recording mode comes in handy when you want to record videos of your subjects changing over periods of time. Additionally, the Active D-Lighting function lets you preserve both shadow and highlight details when you work in back-light and other contrast-rich scenarios.
Other Features
The D5600’s integrated SnapBridge app makes it possible to transfer your captured content to a Bluetooth-enabled device. This can also be done with WiFi or NFC connectivity options. The large collection of scene and special-effect modes let you display your creativity in your stills. The integrated pop-up flash helps in shooting bright pictures, even in low light. This DSLR runs on a long-lasting 1230 mAh EN-EL14a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery pack.
