Overview
The AF-S NIKKOR 18 to 55 mm f/3.5 to 5.6G VR II DX Format Lens from Nikon is a standard retractable zoom lens that has a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 27 to 82.5 mm. Its retractable barrel, coupled with its compact and lightweight design, enables you to easily carry it to your photo shoots. The standard zoom range of this lens makes it suitable for use across a wide range of shooting conditions. The Silent Wave motor used by this lens allows for a whisper-quiet operation when focusing on a subject. This prevents the motor noise from interfering with the video recording. Also featured is the Vibration Reduction technology, which eliminates the image blurs caused by camera shakes at high zoom levels or when shooting on the move. The Super Integrated Coating on the surface of the lens eliminates the ghosting and flaring caused when light bounces back from the surface of the camera sensor. This lens features a construction of 11 elements in 8 groups, and has a minimum focusing distance of 9.8 inches in the manual focus mode.
