OVERVIEW

The Marumi 52mm Center-Clip Cap+Leash Filter is a practical protective accessory for lenses and filters that accept a 52mm front cap. Designed for quick everyday use, this center-pinch lens cap helps shield the front element from dust, smudges, scratches, and accidental contact during transport or while shooting on location.

Compatible With

  • Lenses and filters with a 52mm front thread or 52mm cap size

Center-Clip Convenience

The center-pinch design allows you to grasp the cap from the middle, making removal easier than side-pinch styles when a lens hood is attached. This is especially useful for photographers who frequently move between active shooting and storage, or who want a faster, more ergonomic way to uncap the lens in the field.

Added Security with Leash

The included cap leash offers extra peace of mind by helping keep the cap tethered to your lens or camera setup. It is a simple but valuable addition for travel, walk-around photography, events, and outdoor use where lens caps are easy to misplace.

Protection for Everyday Carry

A front lens cap is one of the simplest ways to extend the life and appearance of a lens. By covering the front element when the camera is not in use, this Marumi cap helps reduce exposure to airborne dust, fingerprints, moisture droplets, and light abrasions that can happen inside a camera bag or during routine handling.

Ideal Uses

This accessory is well suited for replacing a lost original cap, keeping a spare in your bag, or pairing with filters mounted on the front of a lens. It is useful for photographers, content creators, and travelers who want quick protection without adding bulk.

Why Choose a Center-Pinch Cap

Compared with older outer-grip cap designs, a center-pinch model is generally easier to operate when space around the front of the lens is limited. That makes it a smart choice for wide-angle, standard zoom, and telephoto lenses that are commonly used with hoods.

Usage Tips

Before purchasing, confirm that your lens or filter requires a 52mm front cap size. This size is usually marked on the lens barrel or on the filter ring. For best performance, keep the inner gripping tabs and the front rim of the lens clean so the cap seats securely. If using the included leash, attach it carefully so it does not interfere with zoom or focus operation.

Recommended Accessories

  • 52mm protective or UV filter for added front-element protection
  • Lens cleaning cloth and blower for routine maintenance
  • Lens hood compatible with your specific lens
  • Compact lens pouch or camera bag insert for travel storage
