Overview

The DJI Mavic 3 is a professional-grade, flagship, cinematic drone that places imaging above everything. It features an all-new 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera, and a unique tele camera, with a combined total of 28x in hybrid zoom capabilities. Advanced safety features, including omnidirectional obstacle sensing, APAS 5.0, and advanced RTH allow the DJI Mavic 3 to return to its home point safely. Hasselblad Micro Four-Thirds Camera

The sleek and compact Hasselblad L2D-20c aerial camera offers a professional grade 4/3 CMOS sensor in a sleek and compact form factor. Capture 20 megapixel photos with 12.8 stops of dynamic range. Aperture can be adjusted from f2.8-f/11, with a 24mm equivalent, 84 degree field of view. Vision Detection Auto Focus (VDAF) uses multiple vision sensors to leverage distance data for optimized focusing speed and accuracy.

5.1K Video

The DJI Mavic 3 can capture 5.1K video at up to 50 FPS, and DCI 4K at 120 FPS. The Cine model of the DJI Mavic 3 also offers professional-grade imaging capabilities, with Apple ProRes 422 HQ encoding, and a maximum data rate of 3,772 Mbps. The combination of high resolution video and professional grade ProRes encoding allow for higher image quality, and increased flexibility during post-production.

46 Minute Max Flight Time

The DJI Mavic 3 offers an extended flight time of 46 minutes per battery. The ability to stay in the air longer provides a multitude of creative options without the need to land and swap batteries. Omni-Directional Obstacle Sensing

Advanced RTH

Advanced RTH is a safety feature that allows the DJI Mavic 3 to automatically determine the optimal route back to its home point. It leverages the vision sensors, and vision computing engine of the DJI Mavic 3, to autonomously return to the home point during signal loss, or when intentionally triggered by the pilot.

Great Drone -- Now That GPS Lock Problem is Fixed

I purchased the Mavic-3 along with 5 spare batteries and the RC-Pro "smart controller" (new version controller -- much better than the original"smart controller"). Initially, it too 13-15 MINUTES before 12 satellites were aquired and drone was permitted to launch. After a few months, DJI released a firmware update which supposedly fixed the GPS/GNSS lock problem. Typical DJI... My extremely expensive drone then took "only" 6-8 minutes to get GPS/GNSS Lock. Imagine how frustrating..??. Finally... This past week (Today is JUNE-4-2022), a new firmware package became available for the Mavic-3 / Mavic-3 Cine. This time around, in addition to a multitude of nice enhancements -- especially with the telephoto feature -- THEY FINALLY FIXED THE GPS/GNSS FLAW!! Now, with a "cold start" (drone unpowered after firmware update - approx. 26 hours of downtime).. INITIAL WAIT TIME OF ONLY 40-60 SECONDS !!! Fantastic!! This drone honestly beats out all of the other devices I have. Though quite pricey and having the whole DJI "GEOFENCING" crippling restrictions, it really gets great battery life / has tremendous range with the O3 transmission system and the telephoto feature is excellent! I started with the Phantom-3 and moved into the Mavic-Pro after Unique taught me how to fly without crashing every other flight. LOL. I moved up to the Mavic-2 Pro and Mavic-2 Zoom (Pro for work / Zoom for spying LOL). I also bought the Mavic Mini (original version) and lost it on a mildly windy day due to a flyaway. I also have the DJI FPV Racer and built my own 5" FPV quadcopter. I am definitely going to sell my Mavic-2 drones and all of the accessories / Goggles RE / 10 batteries / etc. The FPV Racer suits my faster flight requirements and I'll probably end up getting either the Mavic-3 Mini Pro or an Autel. The Autel will let me fly in PERMITTED areas without the GeoFencing crap. (DJI refuses to update their "Drone Crippling" maps). The Mavic-3 is fantastic! IF you can afford it. BTW:. It definitely pays to buy the Hanatora 4x battery AC charger. For under $60 bucks, the charger will charge up to 4 batteries SIMULTANEOUSLY in approx 90 minutes. The DJI charger with the 3x battery charging hub only charges one battery at a time ! One other option, especially if you are flying far from utility AC power. Get the small "charging cubes" for $25 @ and combine with 65watt (minimum) USB-C power supply for charging when AC utility power is available. AND.. use a 65watt "cigarette lighter plug" with USB-C output. This allows you to use a vehicle to charge your batteries. AND.. using a Renogy or equivalent lithium battery power bank to charge your batteries. You MUST use USB-C to USB-C (65watt minimum) short (6' max. length) cables to get rapid charging. Btw- Don't bother with the DJI $199 "wide angle lens adapter". Total waste. Good luck & safe flying! & Let's Go Brandon / F. U. K. Joe Biden.
