The built-in metal spike, with removable rubber stopper, at the bottom of the leg provides extra stability on rocky or uneven ground. A standard 3/8” post with a Fat Gecko 1/4"-20 locking ball head is included with the monopod, which can be used to mount any DSLR, camcorder, or compact camera.
