OVERVIEW

The Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens lets the camera capture crystal clear photos of distant objects. Ideal for sports and wildlife photography, the lens is compatible with Canon EF-mount cameras. You may use an optional EF-EOS R mount adapter to use the lens with RF-mount mirrorless cameras. The lens has 17 optical elements arranged in 13 groups that have super UD and fluorite elements placed among them to combat chromatic aberrations and color fringing. Both super spectra and air sphere coatings are applied to each optical element to improve light transmission by reducing flare and ghosting. The optical image stabilizer with 3 distinct IS modes allows you to take blur-free shots during a fixed setup, panning, and adjusting exposure. A ring-type Ultrasonic Motor AF system ensures fast and precise focusing performance. The customizable focus ring lets you set the sensitivity level for the manual focus. You can recall a previous focus point with the focus preset function. The rounded 9-blade diaphragm adds to the image quality by creating circular bokeh. You can use the lens inclement weather thanks to the dust- and moisture-resistant barrel. Optional EF 1.4× and EF 2× teleconverters can be fitted to the lens for increasing its focal length.
