Overview
The B+W 49mm XS-Pro Digital ND Vario MRC-Nano Filter is manufactured by using Schott glass to ensure greater optical clarity and color tonality. With a simple twist, the filter can be adjusted from +1 f/stop through to +5 stops for exposure reduction. The newly developed filter can be adapted to a broad range of situations and photographic requirements. Sometimes large apertures are needed in bright conditions to separate the subject from the background. The filter helps to darken the image and enable the use of slower shutter speeds and higher aperture settings. It is particularly helpful when capturing architectural monuments where there is a lot of foot traffic. In such a situation, a longer shutter setting will make the people moving about ‘invisible' in the final composition.
