The Blackmagic Pocket UltraScope is a portable variant of the PCI-card UltraScope, which supports on-location video monitoring via a USB 3.0 laptop. This Pocket UltraScope comes with the switchable SDI input that auto-detects the 10-bit SD, HD, and 3G-SDI signals. Color-correct your video with the real-time RGB parade waveform view to check for illegal colors if the video is above the 100% line or below the black line. The SDI input synthesizes the composite video. With the vectorscope, you can check whether the color is removed or canceled out when adjusting the white balance. The histogram function aids you when adjusting the camera exposure to determine the amount of black-and-white pixels in the scene. Monitor audio levels in 8 channels to get the desired result. The stereo phase meter arranges left and right audio as an XY scope display to let you know whether the sound is recorded properly or not. You can use the picture view with VITC timecode to know which computer runs video or timecode.
