The Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera comes in a compact-size with UHD 4K imaging capabilities. This camera can accept Active Micro Four Thirds mount lenses. The Ultra HD image sensor offers 3840×2160p and 1080p video recording at 30 fps and 60 fps respectively. It outputs 10-bit 4:2:2 videos through 6G-SDI. You can remotely control the camera via an ATEM switcher with SDI control protocol. The expansion port allows you to link the camera to multiple connections with the included cable for using motorized heads and a B4 data link output to control broadcast lenses. Your audio recording is crisp and noise-free thanks to the built-in stereo microphones. The built-in talkback support makes you walk from camera to camera while communicating with the rest of the crew via your headset. You can mount his camera on to 1/4"-20 threaded tripods.
Optics and Focus
The camera has an active MFT mount that allows you to connect MFT lenses or attach a B4 adapter for using vintage broadcast lenses. You can control the focus of the camera with compatible lenses via Blackmagic SDI Control Protocol. The camera also gives control for the iris, focus, zoom setting of the supported lens. You can make the camera stop-down the lens up to f/11.
Sensor and Screen
The Blackmagic Design camera sports a 13.056mm×7.344mm Ultra HD sensor that offers clarity and fine textures. It also eliminates color loss caused by the sensor’s bayer pattern. The sensor provides full bandwidth RGB HD color and high-quality sub-pixel anti-aliasing. You can connect HDMI monitors to this camera for reviewing the recorded videos.
Image and Videos
The camera records 4K videos with a frame rate of 30 fps. You can also choose the Full HD 1080p video recording at 60 fps. Connect the camera to a production switcher with its 6G-SDI output. The camera has the DaVinci YRGB color corrector that makes you adjust the look of the shot as per your need.
Other Features
You can use an optional ATEM switcher to control the camera remotely. The expansion ports can be used to attach S.Bus digital servo connections. As the built-in stereo microphones have a mechanical design, they can record high-quality audio without any significant wind noise. The camera has an iPhone-style headphone socket with a mic to provide full talkback support. You can also connect standard noise-canceling headsets for distraction-free audio. The mini BNC connector connects to the main camera's 6G-SDI output while the mini BNC connector attaches to the 6G-SDI camera program input for controlling CCU settings, return talkback audio, and tally status. You can power this camera through its 12V to 30V DC power input. The camera also works with the Canon LP-E6 type battery that can be fixed to the rear receptacle. This cine camera has three 1/4"-20 mounting threads on the bottom and a single 1/4"-20 thread on top. The USB 2.0 port can be used for giving software updates.
